Swan Events is a gathering of people who have come together through working on innumerable events around the world. This association of individuals and companies delivers knowledge, skill and experience and can be relied upon to produce the highest quality of work whatever the project.
Before starting Swan Events Karen spent more than 25 years organising exhibitions for both exhibitors and organisers. This breadth of experienced gives her a unique insight into what makes an exhibition work and how to make them and enjoyable and profitable experience for all concerned.
Karen has organised events for trade associations and commercial owners taking strategic, managerial and operational roles and directed “I.G.E”, the largest international trade show to take place at Earls Court.
Peter joined Swan Events after 25 years in the exhibitions, conference and publishing worlds. He has held senior management and Board positions in small entrepreneurial organisations as well as industry majors such as VNU, Reed Exhibitions and Clarion Events.
Peter was instrumental in building a global events and publishing company for a major UK trade association. His experience brings a strategic oversight and management discipline to ensure that projects are on brief, on time and on budget.
Having been in and around exhibition halls since a young age I have exhibitions in the blood!
I’ve been involved in both trade and consumer launches since the 90’s and more recently worked with Karen and Peter before The Glamping Show was born. I’ve worked on a diverse range of exhibitions from the casino and gaming industry to an over 18’s exhibition.
Kathryn is an experienced Sales Professional and she has had 25 years sales experience working on various Business to Business Publications and Show Catalogues including Amusements/Coin-Op, Casino, Education, Glamping and Holiday Park Sectors. Also securing exhibition space for EAG, ACOS and the Glamping Show.
A freelance Social Media Trainer, Community Manager and Copywriter, Rachel has over 10 years experience in the digital industry.
She has worked with large brands delivering strategic big budget digital marketing campaigns which span social media platforms and on/offline media. In recent years has re-focussed her energy to work with start-ups and small businesses with an emphasis on organic growth and nurturing brands and audiences online. Rachel works under the alias of The Toucan Collective:
Steph Curtis Raleigh
Steph Curtis-Raleigh is the editor and co-publisher of Holiday Parks Management and International Glamping Business magazines, the newsletters and websites.
Steph has been working in trade journalism for 20 years and has edited leading titles, as well as publishing a weekly newsletter for the amusement trade called Coin-op Community. For the last 15 years she has also run a PR company for the amusement and gaming industry.
With a career spanning more than 35 year’s in the amusements, gaming and entertainment sectors, Roland brings a unique skill set and international perspective to the Swan Events team. Roland handles the Press Management and PR for several of Swan Events’ trade events, as well as providing tailored marketing support to a number of participating companies.
Writing skills, coupled with sharp-end experience, ensure that Roland is a regular contributor to numerous amusements and leisure industry publications.
Dean has over 25 years experience in the publishing industry, specialising in the layout, design and production of a wide variety of publications including national bookstall titles, trade subscription magazines and show guides for national show organisers.
He also enjoys getting involved all aspects of the publication’s production on top of the design and layout bringing a unique and valuable insight.

Jenny Nathan owns a small graphic design company called Splatt Design, and works closely with Swan Events on their marketing material. Jenny has over 20 years’ experience of designing for trade shows and exhibitions for a wide variety of industries.
Her exhibition work ranges from advertising, flyers and sales brochures, to huge billboards regularly seen around prestigious event venues.

Natalie has two different roles within the Swan Events group of companies. She deals with the day to day bookkeeping for the group and is also the Seminar Co-ordinator for The Glamping Show.
Natalie helps to find new speakers and organises all of the seminars at the show, whilst keeping The Glamping Show Website up to date with speaker’s and exhibitor’s details.
Natalie has a background in Credit and Operational Risk Management, in both corporate and private banking, gained from a previous career within NatWest and Coutts head offices.
Alice joined Swan Events in 2014 to manage the PR and marketing for the company’s newly launched exhibition; The Glamping Show. She is responsible for developing and executing marketing and PR campaigns in order to drive forward and effectively maintain the strong position of the exhibition’s brand with the visiting audience and the Glamping sector as a whole.
Before joining the Swan Events team, Alice had spent the previous 10 years working as PR Manager for The Showman’s Show developing and implementing PR plans that supported the show’s overall marketing strategy. Alice graduated from the Open University in 2000 with a degree in Humanities.
